Thanks again for checking out my work. I've been in love with
photography since my early childhood. My father picked up black
and white photography while in the Army during Vietnam, and
some of my earliest memories are of his darkroom. It always
seemed so peaceful and calm in the soft glow of that safelight, and
the exotic smells and equipment were incredibly intriguing. So
much has changed since those days... technology marches on. Yet
the same art applies, only the science has changed. The same
things that made a great photographer fifty years ago apply today.
I have worked as a freelance photographer for small local
newspapers while in college. Worked as an engineer for a major
international photographic company and now work as an engineer
within the medical imaging field. Honestly, I get the same joy from
shooting a wedding or football game as I do with my belly in the
dirt trying to catch a bee on a flower. Lately, most of my
photography has been centered on macro work, and I am
continuing to hone those skills. Oh, and yes, I do still shoot a lot of
film....
